Reid Lanpher of Manchester, Maine, posted a pair of finishes in the top half of a stout Late Model field in his debut with JR Motorsports at Southern National Motorsports Park.
Team EJP Racing and PEP Classic Car Company showed up big for this years expo bringing in some of the shows coolest sights. PEP brought in a 1941 Ford pick-up with an original flat head motor and a teardrop trailer with a camper interior and a wet bar in the back.
The EJP Racing motocross team is young. 2012 marked the first year that multiple riders were sitting under the EJP tent and that investment has paid off with a lot of hardware. During a season of ups and downs, victories and injuries, Team EJP ended strong with 2 Championships, a top 3, and a top 5 overall in the Maine Motocross Series.
Lanpher, 14, of Manchester, Maine, will compete in a Late Model at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va., for the team owned by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. The team won the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship at the .416-mile oval.
