Team EJP caught the injury bug early on in the 2017 motocross season. After quite a few weeks off the track it seems the team may be finding it’s way back. Andy Mathieu tested his knee just one week prior to the Maine State Championship and felt good enough to compete.

The Maine State Championship is now an AMA sanctioned event, bringing in some heavy hitters for this years event. Andy lined up his #53 Husqvarna in both the 25plus and 30plus classes. With barely any seat time and still not at 100%, Mathieu would pilot himself to 7 out of 8 Moto wins. Every moto was a battle in both classes with Cody Williams chasing close during the 25plus motos and taking second to Matt Woodman in one of the 30plus motos. His race scores would secure him two AMA championships and now he will head north for Canada to compete against the best above the border.

While Andy is getting it done on two wheels, and Patrick Prescott is still mending from his broken femur, Reid Lanpher has been on a tear in his Super Late Model.

Reid just put together an amazing drive to score Win #5 of the year at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway 125! He hoped to continue that streak into the Super Late Model National Championship at Seekonk Speedway with $10,000 on the line. “We led from lap 100 to 168 and then had some bad luck with lappers, got moved for the lead, and didn’t get a courtesy lap when we swung for the fences and put 4 new tires on with 25 to go. We were hoping for more cautions which didn’t happen.” Reid would take 9th overall.
