After a day of practice at Beach Ridge Motor Speedway Lanpher made the last minute decision to head over to Oxford Plains Speedway to compete in the 50-lap Super Late Model main event. It would turn out to be a decision he would not regret. After a P-18 start, Reid drove his bent up car through the pack to find himself in the lead when the checkers flew.
